DIVERSITY STATEMENT
When I started my career (which was much too long ago to mention specifically!) most of the people working as project managers were white men, just like me. When I started IPDI in 1997, the people I consulted with and had in my training classes were also predominantly white men. Over the past decade there has been a growing number of women and people of color in the conference rooms and courses. Nothing could make me happier. Diversity makes our businesses and organizations stronger, and helps the projects we manage be more successful by illuminating what might otherwise be obscured by cultural blind spots. A diverse workforce is a more capable workforce. Let’s all look forward to the time when “liberty and justice for all” is the reality, not just the ideal.
AFFILIATIONS
IPDI is a founding member of the newly formed international Project Management Training Alliance (PMTA) as a Certified Training Provider (CTP). PMTA is a membership-based organization, composed of trainers, consultants, publishers, and other project management service providers who work together to align their skills and knowledge to deliver quality educational products and services in the field of project management. PMTA’s mission is to be an organization that is an independent source of reliable and effective project management services through cooperation, transparency, trust, and integrity. PDUs/CEUs can be earned from courses offered by IPDI as a PMTA CTP.

SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY
Whereas our focus is on improving companies through better developed processes and more effective management of projects, we are also focused on how we can improve our communities. A portion of IPDI sales, a minimum of 10% of post expense income, is donated to charity.
