It’s OK. If everything went the way it was supposed to, and everybody did what they were supposed to do, then organizations would not need project managers and project management.  You may remember the old saying, “There are two things in life that are given: death and taxes“. Well, the saying has been updated to “There are three things in life that are given: death, taxes & projects not going the way they should“.

General Dwight David Eisenhower is quoted as saying “In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.”

No project goes exactly according to plan, but not having a plan is much worse. The plan is the road map and without the map you are just wondering around lost.
